Our Story

TickTalk was created in Southern California in 2016 when our founders, two parents and entrepreneurs, were searching for a secure way to connect with their young daughter without giving her a cell phone. After searching the market, they quickly found that most available tech products lacked safety features, had no online security, and were missing elements that any common smartphone would have. With no existing product meeting their needs, they decided to develop their own.

TickTalk was designed to be the modern parents’ solution for those who aren’t ready to give their child a cell phone but want peace of mind when they are apart. With TickTalk, you don’t have to choose between staying connected and protecting your child from the world of technology. TickTalk works with you in control of the features you want your child to use. With no internet access, a custom-designed parental control app, location tracking, numerous safety features, plus 24/7 security over our backend to protect user data, TickTalk helps families stay connected and safe in the modern world.

Kids love our FaceTalk video calling feature to connect with friends and family anytime, anywhere and all of the customization options. They'll love using the camera to snap and share memories with loved ones in our Messaging Center where they can send GIFs, emojis, pictures, voice recordings, and text messages in individual and group chats.   


Parents and guardians approve all watch contacts so you know exactly who is calling or messaging the watch. Choose to enable the Firewall to block unknown numbers from contacting the watch directly, disable the dial pad so your child cannot call unapproved numbers, track your watch location with history route options, set SOS emergency contacts, 911-emergency response, disable the watch from being turned off, and more.

We’ve created a passionate team that is committed to helping families all over the world. Our engineers come with years of experience creating wearable gadgets at companies like Samsung and Apple and continuously research the latest cutting-edge technology to guarantee our products are first-in-class. Our Southern California-based Support team is available Monday through Friday to answer any questions you have and continuously communicate customer feedback directly to our designers for future software updates.
