TickTalk 3 works great and thankfully has no fitness tracker. I looked into many GPS watches before ordering TickTalk 3 for my two oldest children, 11 and 13. They are not old enough for a full smartphone yet, but I needed something to be able to keep in touch with them while they are out bicycling in the neighborhood. The TickTalk 3 works very well for that purpose, and my kids feel more secure knowing they can call for help any time. My son fell off his bike once and was injured, and he would not have been able to call for help without his watch. The only negatives are that the design looks a little kiddish for my kids' ages, and also one time some sweat got into the SIM card compartment, causing the watch not to recognize the SIM card until I took out the SIM and wiped it off. One reason I chose this watch over others is that it does NOT have a fitness tracker. My wife is an eating disorder therapist, and her job is to get kids to STOP obsessing about their weight and body image. Kids' watches should not have fitness trackers. So the TickTalk 3 is a great watch.

You know it’s disappointing when you contact their customer service to help you out with a watch issue. (Our watch will not recognize the SIM card when it dips to 40% battery life or lower) the first thing they want is the order number which the average person would not have I would assume. For a company to be committed to their product and standing behind their product and advertising it as a safety device as well, you would think that if it would quit working they would be more receptive to helping out or possibly issuing a new watch or even a discount on a new one. Especially for the money that you pay. Right now my child’s TickTalk 3 has quit working on her again in the middle of the day while she is at a camp and she has no way to reach me in case of an emergency or even an abduction. I am very disappointed in their customer service. At least try to resolve the issue- maybe the watch owner is not the enemy here- maybe your product is just that defective that it won’t even last a week at a camp away from home. Not even to mention it holding a charge or sim recognition at a low battery life. I pray nothing happens to my child but they seem they could care less if it does or not.

We bought my son a Tick Talk 3 in Jan 2020. Overall we liked it. It was great to be able to contact my son when he was away from us and I liked many of its features. However, recently it has been hard to get it to stay on the charger or hold a charge. This past week I went to put it on the charger when I noticed that it said it has no sim card. I checked to make sure the card was still active and even tried to remove it and place it back in, but nothing. So I contacted what turned out to be the most useless customer service. In my e-mail I explained the problem. "Tiffiny" checked my order number and said it was past it's year warranty, so it would be a $100 replacement. I told her I understood it was past the warranty and I was not looking to replace it. I was wondering if there was a way to troubleshoot the problem. The response I got was "No there is not typically the no sim error is water damage." My son has not gotten it wet beyond a bit of splashing from washing his hands. I tried again later with their live chat and again got "Tiffiny." She again said it was from water damage and there would be $100 replacement fee or I could trade it in, which turns out to be a $30 - $40 credit towards a new one. She goes on to explain that it has an IP67 rating and cannot be exposed to water longer than 30 mins for the life of the watch. I cannot believe that a kid who is resistant to washing his hands for longer than 5 seconds got it wet enough to cause water damage. It is supposed to be a kids' watch. If it cannot hold up to minor splashing from hand washing, they are basically saying the watch is designed to be disposable and expect to replace it every year or less. That would add up very quickly with the $200 price tag. In that case, I would rather go with a cheaper watch, so replacing it every year would not be as costly. On top of the watch failing the customer service was horrible. I understand things happen, but the communication received was less than empathetic and gave the feeling as oh well you are SOL. Before this happened I recommended this watch to other parents, but now I regret that recommendation due to the faulty product and horrible customer service. If you are considering this watch, I would reconsider and look into other options available.

Both my daughters have a tick talk watch and it has been great for us. They can only contact us and select family members and friends so they aren't on a phone all day. It has been a lifesaver when they walk home from school or have a sleepover- bc I can check in. It has also been a great way to reach my husband if he is with the kids (because he never answers his phone). It has lasted really well. We had to send one back because my daughter got it wet. It was hard to find out who to get in touch with at first- but the chat function worked really well and was really helpful. I am definitely getting another one!

I purchased this watch for my 6 yr old and we love it! She sometimes has activities after school and so it's reassuring to know that we can communicate if needed. I also really like that it has the location tracker so I can always see where they are. The kids also have different dads so it's fun for them to get to stay in touch while they are at the other parents' house. Overall I've found this to be exactly what we were looking for to ensure her safety and stay in touch, without having to get her on a cell phone at this young age.

We purchased TickTalk3s for our early elementary aged children, and have been very happy with the ability to communicate and track if needed around our neighborhood; the kids have also enjoyed the camera and fun text messages. Customer service has also been very helpful in responding to any questions or issues!

A great way to keep track of my 10 years old as she runs around with the neighborhood kids.
Helen C.
Highly recommend! Give us peace of mind, when our 9 year old goes out and plays with his friends, as we can see where he is. The phone function is very useful. He has a way to contact us when he needs, but we do not have to give him an actual phone.

I purchased a TicTalk 3 watch for my 10 year old grandson for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! He never misses the opportunity to put it on every day. The GPS tracker works really well and that gives mom and dad such peace of mind! It was easy to set up with their cell phone provider and all the features work great! I plan on buying one for my granddaughters birthday this month!

We have had two TickTalk watches for both of my boys and have loved them both! It is great to teach them responsibility and allow them the opportunity to communicate and have phone calls with family members and friends we put in their contact list. The GPS tracker is also a nice feature to have, if ever needed. Both boys wear these watches with them wherever they go and love to call me and give me updates about their days. Highly recommend this product over purchasing cell phones at a young age!

These little gadgets are amazing. They're easy for your little one's to use and tracking them is easy via tiktalk app. I would highly recommend this product to parents. In today's world keeping track of your lovies is essential.

I love this, my son loves this watch! It was easy to setup, and location is spot on! Customer service is also phenomenal!

Purchased for my son last Soring now that he is back in school he thinks he is the coolest kid in class with this watch on.

I absolutely love my Tick Talk best purchase ever!
Hazel G.
My child love the watch! I received quickly and easy to setup. Best alternative device to stay connected.

We bought two of the Tick Talk 3 for Christmas for our boys and they love them! They can run around our neighborhood and we can get in touch with them at anytime!

Excellent Watch for my daughter using the watch is simple we love it. she love the rainbow band we need more bands color.
Roman
We bought the watch almost 1 year ago and my son loves it and call me all the time ;-)

Not at all reliable.
The location is so far off it’s insane.
I bought this to track my toddler when he’s with his father because the man is unreliable and unstable…..but yay family court for giving him split custody
In one day it said he’s gone halfway across Bew York state then to Honolulu….ummmm I don’t think so.
I spent money on this hoping it would help keep my baby safe.
Don’t buy it!

After trying several phone watches for my kids, I was still unhappy with the features and reliability. Without going into details about the issues I faced (since those items are no longer currently offered), I began searching again for a watch for my kids. After reading many reviews, I decided to give TickTalk a try. I'm so glad I did!!!
My children were facing incredibly complicated schedules due to 'CoVid Hybrid Learning' at school. The school was only open for 2 1/2 hours a day, and there was no childcare available (wait listed due to CoVid limitations and physical distancing requirements). I was on the waiting list for child care, and they finally had room for my kids 2 days a week. I work 5 days a week, 8 to 5. I continued searching for child care. Due to the hybrid hours (11:40a to 2:15pm), there were only 2 places in town that I could find that would PICK my kids up and take them to after school program (which was very expensive), so I signed them up at a Karate program for 2 days a week. So their schedule was to go to a Karate After School Program on a bus 2 days a week, go to school's in house childcare 2 days a week, and come home with me 1 day a week. I needed a way for my kids to be REMINDED where to go after school, and for them to be able to reach me should anything go wrong. Tracking them and making sure they actually ended up where they were supposed to be was a total bonus.
TickTalk 3 has many awesome features. You can set it up so only approved people can contact your child and vice versa. You can turn on or off 911 calling capability (I turned it off, afraid they'll accidentally dial it). They can send voice texts, sms texts, and cute emojis. They can received greeting cards from senders, take and send photos, and do video calling. You can set up preprogrammed text messages in addition to the ones it comes with. You can set reminders. The TickTalk app for Android works well, and the interface is easy and intuitive. It seems they've thought of everything!
My kids use it to send messages to me almost daily, asking me to come pick them up when they are bored at childcare. They have also used it thank relatives for birthday gifts. They have funny chats with their Aunts and keep in touch with long distance relatives. More than anything though, it's given them the confidence to face challenging schedules, with reminders to tell them where to go and when, and a way to reach me if they need, and for me to reach them too.
I liked the first TickTalk watch so well that I got for my 8 year old that I bought another for my 5 year old. It went well for 2 months, and then he lost it. He took it off at Karate and didn't come home with it. I somehow didn't notice until the following morning. As soon as I did I panicked! I opened the app and tracked the watch's location. I took a screenshot of it, and started driving to the house where it was located. It was 7am, and I was hoping to get there before the watch went to school with the kid (or whoever had it) and was lost for good! The battery life seems to last for 2 days, and so it still had over 50% battery, but I worried if I didn't find it that day, that once the battery died it would be gone forever. I arrived at the house, but when I checked the app again before going to the door, the watch had moved to a nearby elementary school. I decided to knock on the door anyway. I went up to the stranger's door, and rang the bell, not knowing who would answer or how they would react. When the woman answered I asked if our kids were in Karate together. She looked suspiciously at me and asked who my kid was (Who can blame her? I didn't even know if she had kids or if I was at the right house?!!) I explained to her that my son lost his watch at Karate the previous day and I'd tracked it to her house, but while I'd been driving there the watch had moved and was now at the nearby elementary school (which is NOT the same elementary my kids go to, btw). She then began apologizing and told me it must be in his backpack. She promised to call the Karate studio and have them get it back from him after school. Not only did I get the watch back that evening, I was beyond impressed at the location accuracy!! I could not believe that I drove across town to a strangers house, knocked on the door and it was the right house!! I had been worried that if it wasn't accurate, I could be knocking on the wrong door, but it was the right door. That experience made me a believer!! I now recommend TickTalk to all of my friends and family.

After 3 months of intermittent use, the part where the band connects to the watch broke. My child wasn’t overly rough, just playing like a normal kid.

I emailed to ask a question about a trade in after the screen on my Tick Talk went black, about a year and a half after I bought it. I asked about trade in and got part of my question answered. I asked my question in a different way (the unanswered part) and just got a copy paste of the trade-in process. I already bought the newer one because ultimately it’s a good option for a kid, but it’s far from perfect. Same for the customer responses.

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it great gift to give any kid.

My child loves this watch 5 stars.

My son loves it. He has no problem wearing it all day. Love the features.. esp the listening in feature. Wish the battery life was better though. Overall, highly recommended.
Bobbie
Is NOT compatible with at&t.

Love being able to contact my child. The GPS feature is not as helpful as i thought, as it shows my child in all different cities at times.

Do not buy this watch if you want to connect it to the ATT network. Unbelievably frustrating process and won’t work after 2021.
Grand
Battery life is poor, but if you start the day at a full charge and don't use it much it will last through a kid's day at school.
The two reasons I ding it two stars, and the reason I regret this watch are due to two critical, unnecessary flaws in the software:
1) It's not possible to have two ticktalks text each other from different family plans. We bought this along with our neighbor so our kids could text on this. It's just not possible. For whatever reason the software prohibits it (even though they are setup to call each other). By the way I did ask CUSTOMER SERVICE about this before buying and they never got back to me.
2) If a call is missed there is zero indication of it. No alert; no way for the watch owner to know they missed a call. Therefore, even if it's left on the counter for an hour they'll have no idea if anything happened during.
To be completely honest I wish we had just splurged and bought a cell-enabled apple watch to begin with.
marie
This product has a lot of potential. At first, I had a lot of problems with it. The gps is not sensitive enough or at times it’ll switch to some other random places. Second, not really waterproof as they say in the box. We live in Seattle, so rain is an issue. Few days after it wasn’t but they changed it but had to keep my sim. Tech support also need a little work in helping customers. I had to repeat myself plenty of times.
But having said the negatives as well as positives, I cannot wait for the tick talk 4 to come out. That or I’ll get my 6yrs old an Apple Watch
LQ
We have really enjoyed being able to contact our son or vice versa when we need to communicate. The new Tick Talk version looks to have a better charging system and reception so we will probably upgrade when it comes out
Amazon Customer
Had issues with this product. I have At&T and I got a SIM card and am able to call it from phone but not from the watch. Tech support is horrible all they did was wipe the whole watch so I could send it back. But would not offer a refund. I suck at returning stuff so I still have it. Touch screen is horrible and all they said is that my fingers are to big so I used my sons and still no working correctly. Don’t waste your time or money.
Michelle
The Tick Talk watch offers all the communication requirements a ten year old boy would need in a phone, but without an actual phone (which would be misplaced within days!) This watch has allowed my son to be more independent as he can make plans with his few “buddies” I have allowed access to his Tick Talk call #. It’s comforting to know I can reach him if needed and that he has quick access to “9-1-1” when he is out and about at the park.
Nicole
My niece had this so we bought it. It gave me peace of mind. It took a day for it to kind of catch up gps wise and then we had no problems at all. Charged every night. I would recommend. Our daughter is 9 so not old enough or responsible enough for a phone so this was a great option for us.
Nina
Just Buy it! You won't regret it! Move over Walkie Talkie the Tick Talk is the Must Have! We now have 4 tick talk watches for our kids from 5 yrs to 11 yrs. I enjoy the peace of mind, I can see their location. They can contact us in a second, they can call family/friends. We can video chat, we really are pleased with the watches. I tell everyone about them, when they talk about getting their kids a "real" phone this is enough of a real phone without them getting into trouble. With the Ticktalk they can't get in trouble for using them during class either because you can set the times they can use their watch. My boys used to play walkie talkies, now they are the best walkie talkies!
Ray
Great kids watch. This watch is great for giving me piece of mind when my kids play in the neighborhood. My 6 and 9 year old learned quickly how to use it. I only wish the battery life was a little longer, otherwise it’s a great tool and we all love it!
Pav
My kid got this watch as a gift and it started having screen issues (distorted locked screen/black screen). Contacted support and they were mostly interested in when the watch was purchased rather than finding out what was wrong. Long story short, no support given since we didn't purchase the watch and an offer to get a replacement for $100. Just lost a customer.
Also, the app on android does not open if you get a notification (my permissions are all open for TickTalk), WiFi always turns off, even when he's at home right by the router which makes connection useless. Overall, a great idea, but a very poor execution on all fronts.
Amazon Customer
Had this for little over 3 months and the screen went completely dark. It's not functioning any more. Bad quality over its price.
AOChok
The watch itself works great - sound quality was better than I expected! We’ve had some glitchy things happen but it was at the fault of RedPocket, not the watch itself. IF YOU ARE GOING WITH T MOBILE THE $10 A MONTH OPTION THEY OFFER WILL NOT WORK FOR THIS WATCH. That is for their “accessories” line and this watch requires a regular phone line. The process to get the Red Pocket sim through tick talk was simple, but flawed. I asked via chat and was told by an agent it was being sent. After a week, I reached out again and was told my original request was never sent. But all’s well that ends well as the watch works well and well worth the peace of mind it brings.
Marissa
Charging and battery is garbage...I wouldn't buy again
Kristen
I purchased this watch for my 6 year old daughter for when she is out playing with neighborhood kids. The GPS is very accurate 99% of the time. It has kept us in touch and I can check on her anywhere she is. It has now been one year and she is still using the watch. She takes it with her to school in case of emergencies. The GPS is so good I can see when she is in the classroom building and when she’s in the cafeteria. Occasionally it pings off the wrong cell tower and has her somewhere else. However after refreshing once or twice it is back to being spot on. I would 100% recommend this watch!!!!
Amazon Customer
When the gps is actually working the watch works well but most of the time is says offline when I’m trying to find her and the battery life started to completely yank right before the pre-order came out for the TickTalk 4 hmm....
Zach
I've purchased 2 of these in less than 6 months and have had to have each watch replaced. Both watches, both times in a matter of a week won't read the sim card?! I've tried everything and anything. Would really like to have both watches replaced with new ones that will work properly!
Together both watches were over 300 dollars and that's a lot of money for myself to throw away!
HDot
Grandson loves this watch. Will purchase a second one for his younger brother.
Angela
We enjoy this product for our son who is not quite ready for a cellphone but is ready for a little independence. We are looking forward to buying the 4 for our other son who’s birthday is coming up soon! Great product, easy to use and love the parental control/access.
Kate
The description on Amazon is a bit misleading and the instructions leave out how to actually activate the SIM card. I had to contact support at TickTalk after spending hours trying to set it up with AT&T. Sopport gave me a website to activate the watch. This should be clear on the instructions for the watch. Now that we finally have the watch activated, we are pleased with the product.

I actually bought the watch directly from the company. I bought this watch because of both reviews and the fact they they claimed it was based in America. The first thing I noticed after activating the sim and booting the watch was that the GPS started off in China. I started setting it up, it was connected to it's 4G network with Red Pocket Mobile, it connected to wifi. I opened the app on my phone to set up contacts and the GPS started working correctly. I then installed the app on my husbands phone and the GPS said the watch was in China again. I rebooted the watch and the app...still China. I turned off the wife and it corrected to home. I checked it later and it was China again. I contacted Tick Talk and they tell me to reboot phone and app but it still shows China. Look, besides supposedly being American, the only other reason I got this was for the GPS. I don't think a kidnapper is going to be kind enough to reset the watch for me to get the locator to work..it should just work. I think you could just save $$ and get a cheaper watch as long as it has 4G capabilities. I feel like this watch was expensive to have such a defect. The phone calls seem to work just fine, although the sos button is not "fast". I can't imagine I would be brave enough to order another watch from this company even though I'm happy with some features. The GPS accuracy is too important to me.
audriena
I love the watch, my son does also. The only complaint is the velcro wore out pretty fast on the band I just ordered a replacement. I purchased the watch last Dec. And I'm ordering a new band today it's March. Aside from the band the watch itself works perfectly.
Rebecca d.
Very disappointed didn’t keep the value of the battery pack other than that it’s a good watch
Adam R
Watches are a very good starter program for kids. Helps them understand the technology that will be basically taking over there lives as they grow older, and gives parents the access to monitor activity. All around a cool product.

This watch stopped working properly after 2 months. DO NOT BUY !!!!!
The Archaeologist's Guide to the Galaxy
We bought an Ticktalk 3 for our son so that he could contact us in a time of emergency, so when it suddenly stopped being able to make calls, I was upset. Fortunately, I called TickTalk's help line and they not only identified the problem (which was with the carrier), but helped me address both it, and the subsequent problems that arose.
When I called I reached Tiffany, who was fantastic and who I mention because I hope her service is appreciated. She was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. What is more, at that moment, due to unforseen circumstances, she was the only person in the help center... but she managed to give me absolutely top notch service while answering text based questions on another line (the only reason I knew this was because she apologized for taking so long... but I didn't think she was taking long at all.
It turned out my problem was multifold (both a problem with the carrier and an actual fault in the device). Tiffany talked me through the whole process, calmly and with a delightful attitude that kept me laughing. It was a complex, multifold problem and took some time to identify and solve, but she was calm, patient and funny the whole time even though she was being forced to multitask while guiding me through a technical process and trying to assess the information I was giving her.
It is a relief to have my son's welfare in the hands of a company that clearly cares about the people they serve. (I wish I could say the same about my carrier, who turns out to have been the actual culprit in the problem).
JN
The phone has been great to stay in communication with our son. He loves to call on his way home from school. The T-Mobile service through red pocket isn’t great in our neighborhood so there are times when I haven’t been able to receive texts. The battery life isn’t amazing but is adequate as long as my son isn’t playing on it much. Glad to have something to keep an eye on my 3rd grader and would recommend to others.
Pannochka
We got it for our 7 y.o. to be able to track her when she plays with her friends. We are able to call each other, which is great. I was surprised when she started receiving spam calls which scared her., but it has nothing to do with the watch, rather with the provider. We like that watch has no games, she was not so happy about it. We had no technical issues so far.
Sunny Girl & Moon Child
Did a lot of research trying to figure out which watch to get my child as I didn't want to get acellphone but I did want to have contact. Works great. I pay like 10$ a month. Does what its supposed to.
Vladimir
We've bought this watch for our 8-years old daughter and are pretty happy with it. Now we can contact her at any moment and don't need to guess from where to pick her up after school.
Use regular voice line SIM card (non-DIGITs).
Unfortunately, battery is holding for 1-1.5 days only without (or with minimal) use.
Greg
Rarely ever got a cellular signal, even though all our phones worked fine on the same network. Only worked if we connected it to our wifi, but then we could almost watch the battery deplete. Menus and settings are awkward. Great idea horribly and cheaply executed.
K Souza
Loooooove this watch!! It give me a pice off mind, and this filling is soooo good! Knowing where she is and I can talk to her anytime that I want is super cool. Love the task mode as well, to keep my daughter on track of things. She loves to have her little independence as well. Her favorite think is to take pictures and send it to me. I recommend for all my family and friends When I able $, I will definitely get another one for my other son. We have a little issues with the charger but the customer service is really good and help me really fast.
Loni
I like the watch, the sound is great on the watch. We had some issues with using face talk via WiFi. One of the biggest and most important features of the watch is NOT accurate which is GPS tracking. My son has worn the watch a few times while out with his father and it will often show that my son is in Colorado. If something were to happen to my son, I am unable to trust the validity of the GPS tracking feature.

I purchased this so I could call and text my son. Generally the sound quality can be good and bad but that’s makes sense if you’re child is in a loud place or moving around a lot since it’s on their wrist. We got the red pocket and it was very easy to setup and such an inexpensive plan! My son says it’s comfortable on his wrist as well. I like the voice text feature as my son cannot read yet. This watch has provided me with an extra sense of security with the gps feature (although that’s not why I purchased it, it’s a nice add on for sure)
The battery quality isn’t great but I understand that’s probably because of the gps feature. If it’s turned off at night when your child is sleeping, you can save a lot of battery. It is extremely user friendly for my 8 year old son! This watch has everything I could think of and more! Make sure to turn on the firewall so your children don’t get collect calls. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase! :)

I bought this watch for my 10 year old son for Christmas. The connectivity, sound, GPS locator is phenomenal. It is easy to use and super simple to set up. It also has a great battery life. I finally have peace of mind when he goes outside to play. To be able to find him in one click of the application linked to my Iphone, to talk to him, not drop phone calls, and be able to hear him, is all a parent can hope for. The text feature is also fantastic. One last note, when I had a small issue, the customer service was prompt, courteous, and super helpful. A parent can’t go wrong with this purchase.
SpringDreamer
The customer service was phenomenal! The set up process was a little tricky and time consuming. It maybe faster if you’re a tech savvy person. We don’t have great service where we live so it never exactly shows on the GPS where my son is. Usually it shows him about 4 miles away. && he doesn’t always get texts right away. Sometimes they’re delayed 2 hours or more. The battery life isn’t great. I was also hoping he’d be able to text any contact I put in his phone but he can’t. He can only text the admin with pre-written text or emojis. He can’t write his own. Hopeful with the ticktalk 4 they’ll add that feature! Even with the few issues we have I would buy it all over again. It’s still a great and SAFE way for me to keep in contact with him without letting him have full reign on a phone.

Definitely don’t recommend this watch. My kid ended up with what looks like either a first degree burn or a seriously painful rash. This pic is from Day 4 of the mark appearing. The watch also constantly kicks him offline all the time and the sound quality is so low I can often not even hear him. Search elsewhere - better watches on the market now I’m sure.

Before I had used tens of China baby watch and all of them die in a week. This watch works perfect already 7 months and I had advised them to all my friends with child and now my baby can speak with her friends by their watches. We are waiting for new model with 12MP camera ;-)
Phoenix76
It was purchased for my 11-year old. I love the Super Hearing function because I can hear what’s going on around my daughter without her or anyone knowing that I’m listening. I think that’s a great safety feature. I have an issue with the battery life in that it loses power within a few hours and that is expedited if she makes a FaceTime call or the constant locator is activated. All in all, we love the watch.
E. Yak
I bought the TickTalk watch for my daughter who is in fourth grade. I wanted to give her some responsibility with a communication device and also be able to contact me when she needs too. I love all the safety features (select contact list, gps, icons) that ensure my daughters privacy and safety. My daughter navigates though the features on the watch easily and I do the same on the app.
K Foster
It did not come with a SIM card as advertised. When I called Amazon to tell them if the issue they sent a new one thinking that it was a defective package but the new package was the same as the first. We bought our own SIM card and the watch works fine but it was very frustrating to no SIM card when the description clearly states that the watch comes with one you can activate.
c
This product is not worth the cost. The SIM card doesn’t stay in at all and my nephew only used it for a couple days. Another complaint that I have for this product is that it gets really hot which could cause burns on the child’s wrist. So it’s actually a good thing it stopped working because at least my nephew won’t suffer third degree burns from this thing. Amazon please stop allowing people to charge an arm and a leg for junk products. If this watch was $75 even I’d know it wasn’t a good product but $150 for junk?

We got this watch for our 5 year old to stay in communication with us as he goes to kindergarten and starts spending more time at friends’ houses. He has absolutely loved it and enjoys the freedom to be able to call family whenever he feels like it. Sound quality and service are great, not to mention TickTalk’s customer service has been super responsive and helpful. If you’re in need of a kids wearable device, the TickTalk is a fantastic option.

Daughter Loves It! We gave the watch to my daughter for her 10th birthday and she absolutely loves it! She is thrilled to be able to send and receive calls and texts. Setup was really easy and it’s a great way for her to be able to talk and text with only the people we enter into the app.

UPDATE: My son was sitting outside on our deck and was splashed by the pool and his watch got wet. It seemed okay and given the water-resistant rating, we thought it would be fine. He woke up the next AM and it was not working. An IP-67 water resistant rating means that it should be safe for at least 30 minutes in up to 1m of water. This didn’t survive even a minor splash and the company would not honor the warranty so now we are going through the extra protection warranty we purchased. It’s a shame - my son loves it but the advertising is false and company not backing it up so had to drop rating from 4 to 2 stars
ORIGINAL REVIEW: These watches have been great for our 6yo and 9yo but they are THICK. They are way thicker than an Apple Watch. There are a lot of redundant steps when programming. The reminders for their virtual classes are great. They love the independence they provide. Battery life could be better. Love that they can let us know when they are going from one friend’s house to another.

It is too bulky. With a T-shirt it stands out too much. With outer wear such as jackets etc. it prohibits wearing on/off clothes with long sleeves/jackets/overalls. Overall, too bulky to use.

The features available, the locked down nature of the platform and the parental controls are really good and the device lived up to that billing. Where things have fallen woefully short is 3 areas. First, battery life. Good luck getting a day out of it if your kid tries to do anything beyond communicating a couple of times and snapping a pic or two. Definitely don't plan on them being able to do much if they leave the house with the device having 50% power left. Second, the recharging contacts are ridiculously small and even with the magnet, can be very hard to align to the point where the device starts recharging. Some times, I even get it going and as soon as I put the device down, it stops, forcing me to rejigger it again. Nothing worse than not seeing it stopped only to find out in the morning that it didn't recharge. Finally, signal strength/quality/latency. 3G doesn't feel like it provides good enough coverage even where we generally have plenty. We subscribed to the AT&T version which works fine normally, but it's substandard. Frequently, I'll get a message or vmail fm my kids like 30 mins or more after they sent it. On a few occasions, they're already with me asking why I didn't respond to their message. Needless to say, it makes it to trust in the device when you do anything other than call them to speak live, since the messaging is flukey. I'm guessing this has something to do with the 3G signal issues, but am not sure. Unfortunately, if you're interested in this, there's no way to test it before you buy so all I can say is buyer beware. It has immense potential, and I started above, they did some really good things, but when focusing on the basics of communicating and power management, it still has a few iterations to go.

Due to covid, my 8 year old has lots of freedom in our safe neighborhood. This watch makes me feel even better. She always calls to tell me if her location has changed, but I can also go to the app to see where the is.

Love!! The Tick Talk 3 watch is a little bulky for my 5 year old so she doesn’t wear it all the time but the GPS is super accurate and the firewalls keep my daughter safe. I like that in Canada I can use my own wireless provider and can call my daughter through the watch to check in when we are apart. No regrets buying this smart lil gadget that is age appropriate for my child!

A little bulky but the GPS is super accurate and it’s fun to connect with my daughter when at the grandparents’ through her watch!

We love this watch. It’s perfect. It’s very user friendly. It connects easily to the adult phones.

I purchased this kid's watch as it had the least bad reviews of all the brands out there. While the basic functions work as advertised, this model has a terrible pin charger that has to be aligned perfectly for it to charge. This is more than a few extra seconds but rather it took me 3-4 minutes each time to find the perfect angel for the pins to connect to the watch. I don't know why this manufacturer used such poor quality for its charger. I returned the watch right away as this is not practical. I found through research afterwards that the Apple iwatch SE can get turned into a kids watch with all the functions and easy usability of kid's watches like these...for just a little more in price you can get a quality apple watch for your kids which is what I am purchasing next.

My first watch would not hold a charge so I was sent a new one and after a week that one had a screen that would not come on even though the watch was working and you could hear phone calls coming in. I was told the policy was not to do a replacement twice so I would have to do a refund and buy another. All fine until I see that now, 2 months after I bought the first one, I have to pay 30+ more for a new watch. Very disappointed in the quality of the product and customer service although when it actually worked it was great. Expensive product for the company to refuse to honor the warranty and replace. I feel scammed.

It took months of research but it was worth it. Ticktalk3 fits that fine line between being to young for a smart phone but needing to be connected for safety. My Son is 7 and loves it. The set up and app sync was a breeze. Will definitely recommend.

First watch the sim doesn’t work the second watch the battery didn’t work after couple days now I’m wondering if I still want to get this watch or other brand

Both these for my 6,7 year old, so they could communicate with me while at their dads. Set up was easy. Only con in my opinion is to text, you have to have the app, and the watches have been getting spam calls, other than that they work great

I like the product, it has met my expectations and the sound quality, tech support and battery life of the Tick Talk 3 is very good.

Got these for my kids for Christmas. They have been a disappointment. The location feature has never worked. It only shows the location the watches were delivered to, never where the watches actually are. Video call does not work. The texting feature is practically useless. Sound quality is ok. Really overpriced for what it does and the limited nature of its features.

Very happy with the Tick Talk Watch! Their customer service is awesome! My Granddaughter loves her watch and I love the safety features. We live in a very rural area and have not had any problems with service. I did a lot of research before deciding on the Tick Talk and I have absolutely no regrets. Would buy again! It's a pleasure actually having a customer service that will answer or respond to e-mails quickly. Keep up the good work!

We bought a pair of these, one for each of our 9 year old twins. We feel they are too young for mobile phones, but old enough to let them have a bit more responsibility outside of the house. This has been a great option to still keep an eye on their location and still maintain connectivity. Still learning some of the options, like creating tasks or reminders, but I like that the TickTalk seems to be much more durable than its competitors and keeps secondary features more functional. Battery life can drain if kids stay on, but based on reviews, this device seems to be much more reasonable than the alternate options on the market. Highly recommend.

This device NOT compatible with AT&T, returning. Also for the price, I think it is very cheaply made

Purchased this for my six year old who was riding the bus for the first time this year. This watch has put our mind at ease. We can track his location when he is on the way home. One time, the bus got to the stop earlier than we did so he was able to call me. We have used the reminder feature to remind him of zoom classes when he had to remote from home. My son likes to take pictures and videos on the phone.
The only issue we have had is that my son complained he would get a call in class. I'm not sure how as we only have two phone numbers in his contact. I thought only the contacts listed could call him. Anyway, to resolve this, we put the watch on vibrate.
My favorite feature which is the headline, is that this phone can be a spy watch. Meaning you can spy on your children through the superhearing option. I really like this because my son may not pick up the phone because he is too busy goofing around. So with the superhearing option, I can hear what's going on with him without him noticing. It is like getting an unspoken insight into his day. This also helps put me at ease that he is around safe people. I feel like this feature is worth the price.

The charge on the battery goes down very quickly. Tech support was awesome! We got great help in setting up and the phone feature works well

Awesome product! We’re able to give our daughter more freedom, while still being able to communicate when needed.

Europe SOS :) I just chatted with Tiffiny for almost an hour. I DO NOT like to "chat." I prefer to speak to an actual person, however, my overseas phone call would not go through so I was forced to chat online. I bought the watch in the states knowing we would be moving overseas and I wanted a watch my child could use internationally. I bought a prepaid SIM for the watch and all was well. I went to add my husbands phone number to the watch and had no issues. THEN I went to add my phone number and the watch would not let me add the international number. It was VERY frustrating especially since I had NO issues entering my husbands international number. I was definitely irritated (especially since it is nearing midnight here) but Tiffiny kept her professional composure!!! At first it seemed as though nothing was going to work BUT then she did some more investigating and was able to resolve the issue on her end remotely!!! ALL is well and the watch is up and running!!! The customer service was truly EXCELLENT!!! Thank you Tiffiny and thank you TickTalk!!

Awesome Watch. This Tick Talk watch is awesome. I was worried about the quality of this watch but the quality is great and it works amazingly so far we are glad we picked this one.

Way overpriced for an average and unstable (but sleek looking) product. Their updates often tend to break functionality that was working perfectly. In our case both our (parents') phone's caller ID was configured correctly, displaying the numbers in caller ID when calling people who are not in our contacts (and who don't have us in their contacts), and yet our saved contact names wouldn't display on our child's watch all of a sudden one day, after an update. Customer service was quick to blame parents' cell phone provider, despite several attempts to fix it (hours on end) and despite assuring them that we satisfied all the caller ID requirements. They even recommended we sell it on Ebay, when we asked for our money back! Very convenient business model with zero accountability! So if you run into a problem (which you will), you are out of luck for an expensive product like this (not to mention, monthly RedPocket charges!).
Update - to their credit, they offered to replace our child's phone watch with a newer version (and we appreciate that very much!), so I upped the review to 3 and I hope this will be the end of our troubles with this watch! If it works consistently after that, I will revisit and increase the review to 5.

This watch is perfect for our child. They are at the age where it is helpful to have communication with them when they are out and about but we are not ready to get them a cell phone. The GPS feature gives us a lot of reassurance of knowing where they are and that they are safe. The watch has also helped allow our child to make plans with friends on their own without needing our phones! We have spoken about the Tick Talk so highly that one by one each our our child’s friends has gotten them as well!

Perfect for autistic children. I spent a few months researching a watch that would not only give me peace of mind but also something my child would like. I kept seeing how TickTalk was the #1. I was skeptical. But I decided to go with it. And I love it. My 4 year old does too. It helps so much not inly with keeping him safe but also lets him Feel like he’s never far from us. The voice message option is amazing. That’s how we communicate mainly and he loves being able to call
