New Year, New Us: Donating Coats to Children In Need

When we started TickTalk Gives, we knew we wanted to donate to organizations helping make the world a better place. Operation Warm is doing that one coat at a time–getting ready to donate their 5 millionth coat! 

Started 23 years ago, the founder of the organization saw children waiting for a bus stop on a severely cold winter day in December, all without coats. He immediately went to a local shop, purchased 50+ coats, and brought them back for the children–what he found was the lasting effect this act of kindness would have on not only these children, but their parents as well. 

As intense winter weather hits every part of the United States, donating a portion of every TickTalk 4 purchase to go directly to Operation Warm is an easy decision. Being based in California, it’s unimaginable for us the lengths some children must go just to get to school. Instead of donating used coats and winter shoes to children, Operation Warm manufactures brand new products to give to children living below the poverty line to keep for years to come.
