The TickTalk Trade-In Program lets you trade in an eligible kids smartwatch when you buy TickTalk 6 on myticktalk.com, and get up to $40 back. Watches are accepted in any condition, even if they will not power on. The trade-in amount is refunded to your original payment method once TickTalk receives and verifies your old watch.
If your child has outgrown their current watch, or you are ready for a refreshed TickTalk experience, this is a simple way to upgrade. TickTalk 6 is a parent-managed kids smartwatch phone for ages 3–12, with voice and FaceTalk™ video calling, Real SMS, location tools, SOS and 911 calling, built-in eSIM and no games, social media or open internet. Here is how the program works, which watches qualify and what to know before you start.
How the TickTalk trade-in works in 5 steps
- Choose your TickTalk 6. Select Add a trade-in while you shop on myticktalk.com.
- Enter your old watch's details. Select the brand and model, then confirm your trade-in value.
- Pay the full price at checkout. The trade-in amount is not deducted at checkout. When your TickTalk 6 ships, TickTalk emails a prepaid return label, packing list and instructions.
- Set up TickTalk 6 and ship your old watch. Transfer any available data, then return the old watch within 21 days of receiving your TickTalk 6.
- Get your refund. After TickTalk receives and verifies the old watch, the approved amount is refunded to the original payment method within 7 calendar days. Your bank may take additional time to post it.
You can add a trade-in only during the purchase process. It cannot be added after an order is placed.
Which smartwatches are eligible?
Eligible devices are children's smartwatches with calling or connectivity features, from the brands and models listed on the TickTalk 6 trade-in page. Check the list before you buy to see whether your watch qualifies.
- Any condition: Eligible watches are accepted even if they do not power on.
- Complete watch body: The whole watch must be included. Chargers, bands and boxes are not needed.
- No proof of purchase: You do not need an order number or receipt. TickTalk devices are verified by IMEI.
- Not eligible: Toy watches and non-smart children's watches.
How much can you get?
Trade-in values go up to $40. Your exact amount is the value shown when you submit your request. TickTalk checks the watch's identity and eligibility, not its physical or working condition, so if your watch matches what you submitted, you receive the full amount shown.
Upgrade the watch, keep what matters
Whether you are upgrading from an earlier TickTalk or another kids smartwatch, TickTalk 6 is built around "Communication First. Safety Always." Here is what the upgrade brings:
- Slimmer, lighter design with a 1.6-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a washable comfort band
- More ways to connect: voice calling, FaceTalk™ video calling, Real SMS, Group Chat and TickTalkie™ for approved TickTalk Watch Friends
- Location and safety tools: Real-Time Location Tracking, History Route, AI SmartPin™, SOS and parent-enabled 911 calling
- Built-in eSIM with an optional Global Travel Plan covering 160+ countries and regions
- TickTalk Radio™: a parent-controlled, age-curated music and wellness experience, with a separate subscription
- IP68 water resistance and up to 135 hours of standby time
- Up to 100 approved contacts, all managed in the TickTalk App
TickTalk 6 also makes it easier to bring your child's experience along. T-Cloud™ offers cloud backup, restore and device migration for supported watch data and settings, and the trade-in steps include transferring any available data before you send your old watch back. If your old TickTalk uses a physical SIM, TickTalk provides instructions for transferring eligible service to the TickTalk 6 eSIM.
If your child's friends still wear TickTalk 5 watches, TickTalkie works between TickTalk 5 and newer models, so everyone can keep talking.
The TickTalk Care+ plan for TickTalk 6 must be purchased within 30 days of activating your watch. Extended Warranty on a TickTalk 5 does not transfer, so don't wait for your trade-in refund to add coverage.
